As the front page news on DeathTank.com suggests, Snowblind Studios have been revealed as the publishers of Death Tank on the Xbox 360 platform. This is almost too good to be true! While this makes the existence of Death Tank on Xbox 360 a little more possible, it would be nice to see some kind of official announcement complete with release date, price, features, etc.

WOOT !! =D

I've wanted this since I've heard of XBLA, DT was a favorite party game - this and Guardian Heroes on the Saturn ruled all =D
Can't wait to hear what this means and when it might come out!

And boy the wife and I could use an update with the Baldurs Gate/Norrath Champ genre,
we've been looking for such ARPG local co-op action again big time!

[For whatever the reason she/we haven't gotten into the hero thing as much]

Thanks for the link. It's great to have official confirmation. The main thing we need now: a release date Smiley

Xbox 360 is a great console. And Xbox Live Arcade seems like the perfect way to bring back Death Tank.

I've avoided buying a 360 because of the RROD problems. 4 of my friends all had the problem and machines died. I will however be getting the missus to buy me an Elite version of the console come Xmas just so i can get Death Tank. That said i suspect i will get a cooling solution too. Roll on Xmas and hopefully Death Tank also

the RROD/stability issues are a pain in the arse, I'm on my second one

I've had a lot of fun with the system, and Xbox Live has worked well but
really they've had the poorest hardware reliability of a console EVER, IMO

that said, just get the latest revision when you pull the plug and you should be OK

Back to topic.... YAY IT'S REAL ! ! ! =D
Really disappointed Armada 2 never happened for XBLA, but VERY happy DT is coming!

I never played Zwei even though I had Duke (no Quake save =b) - the original was the huge party game
That and Guardian Heroes, sometimes Bomberman... Saturn ruled the home party gaming roost !

Yeah, when I said "Xbox 360 is a great console" I was mainly saying it is platform that offers a lot of great games. There's no denying the atrocious RRoD failure rate. Anyway, Death Tank coming to Xbox Live is definitely a great thing!

yeah was just chiming in and griping with Overfiend  Wink

I usually have most, if not every system - this time around I just have the xbox360 hooked up to the [main] TV.
Certainly game-wise it has been stellar.  It's odd too as a lot of games have been announced/coming out shouting Saturn on XBLA

Castle Crashers is in a lot of ways the spiritual successor to Guardian Heroes [made me think of Three Dirty Dwarves too]
 - I'd love a real remake/successor to GH though!  Graphic update would help with todays TVs, to be sure
Duke Nukem 3D is coming this month to XBLA (!) which was excellent on the Saturn
 - another great FPS (after Powerslave) for the 3dpad, also ties to...
Death Tank, probably my all-time #1 [local] multiplayer party game, only Guardian Heroes rivaled, followed by Bomberman
 - all Saturn, nothing matched the multitap crazy home bliss, nor has, since

Of course other games too - I got SFPF2T (did I get that right? lol) and there are Genesis games on up (such as SoR2)
Even niche PSX games surprise - I enjoyed Culdcept a sleeper hit, Culdcept Saga was a nice update [DVD, not XBLA]

All in all its been a great GAME system first, for gamers - kudos to Wii for casual, and Sony for winning HDDVD format wars.
In the end though, I've been gaming since atari/intellivision on up, and I'll always look for the games on my gaming system.

This is the first generation I've really given my PC a bit of heave ho too (outside mmorpgs) - FPSs shine on it.
Gears, Call of Duty 4, HalfLife/Team Fortress, a little indie title named Halo3, GTA4, good stuff.

Only real absence has been a lack of action rpgs IMO, which was fun for the wife and I... and Gladius '2'.  So it goes.
